Job Title: Accounting Close – Cost Close Senior Analyst

As Cost Close Bookings Sr. Analyst, you will be responsible to provide support to Month End Cost Close finance functions and performing daily tasks assigned to the production. You will also be expected to assist in queries/stakeholder managements as well as ensuring that the process controls are effectively performed and implemented. Providing audit and other statutory requirements, support for process improvement and other business-driven projects. Preferably a finance professional with background on general accounting process and financials reporting and analysis involving cost performance and identification of cost drivers. Must be able to perform calculation/review of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Your key responsibilities
- Perform and review finance and accounting process but not limited to cost calculations, cost bookings, analytical review, reconciliation, MRP substantiation, financial commentary and reporting process in adherence to Global Accounting policy
- Process of month end functions such as bookings of accruals/prepayments, late adjustment entries with proper root cause analysis performed on operational issues, account reconciliations and Accounts receivable function.
- Handle direct cost related queries and recommend resolution of issues
- Performs sense checks/ self review of process outputs to detect irregularities, error or variances.
- Ensure quality of output are:
- in compliance with predefined processes and service level agreements/ KPIs
- in compliance with policies, legal and statutory requirements
- accurate and complete
- Collaborate with stakeholders and other teams for efficient execution of end-to-end operations through engagement calls
- Engage in change initiatives that may include but are not limited to brainstorming exercises, process improvement discussions, user acceptability testing and post deployment reviews
Your skills and experience
- Atleast 2 years experience with an auditing firm, bank, shared service, business process outsourcing or in a finance role in related industry.
- Experience in Process improvement or any automation projects (preferred)
- Proficient in oral and written communication skills
- Combined analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of SAP, Cognos, Ariba and other ERP systems is an advantage
- Experience working in a global industry is a plus
