Credit Services sits within the WLS Originations and provides Financial Statement Spreading support for the Business Banking and Commercial Banking underwriters. The Credit Support Senior Specialist works with the underwriting staff across Business Banking and Commercial Banking sub-lines of businesses (MMBSI, CCBSI, Dealer Commercial Services, etc.) and is responsible for reviewing and analyzing customers’ business and personal financial statements for spreading into the bank’s financial analysis tool. Position Summary: The Financial Statement Spreading Specialist (Credit Support Specialist I) will review and analyze borrower financials and enter financial statement information into relevant databases and distribute this information as appropriate to allow underwriting, monitoring, and tracking of this information to flow smoothly and efficiently through those specified processes. Accuracy of spreading is critical as lending decisions are made based on the spreads. Core Responsibilities: Support multiple Business Banking underwriters and markets Retrieve financial spreading requests from the mailbox or team’s workflow tool e.g. Operations Task Manager (OTM), Aurora (as applicable) Perform data entry of customer financial statement information from source document into the bank’s financial analysis tool based on the procedures manual e.g. Risk Analyst (RA), Application Storage and Retrieval (APSTAR), and Integrated Spreading Solution (iSPRESO). Prepare a summary of findings for the Credit Approval Officer, highlighting issues regarding financial statements and other source documents, as required.
