Provide strategic organisational financial analysis supported by provision of focused and fit for purpose management reporting including budgeting, financial and other resource management which comply with all statutory requirements; Provide advice to the Auditor-General and the Board on all aspects of the ANAO’s financial management; Develop financial and resource management strategies and policies for the ANAO Lead and manage a team responsible for the effective management of all responsibilities of the Financial Management Section; and Manage significant key internal relationships and develop productive external client relations to ensure financial advice is accurate, informed and timely, anticipating impact of external developments. Eligibility There are no mandatory qualifications for this role. However, the following are highly desirable: Extensive experience in financial management with a sound understanding of the APS accrual budgetary and financial reporting framework; highly developed communication and analytical skills with proven experience in: – Providing practical and cost-effective solutions to business issues; and – Policy development in a corporate/business services environment. A successful track record of advising senior executives, a Board and/or Audit Committee; Highly developed leadership, interpersonal and people management skills; Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
