If you’re ambitious, driven and team-spirited, this is your opportunity to build a career as a COMMODITY EXECUTION BUYER PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Commodity Execution Buyer is Accountable/Responsible for the proper execution of a Purchase Contract starting with Handover from the Regional Commodity Buyer (RCM) after PAP/1st delivery; which requires close cross-functional cooperation with Engineering/Methods, Project Management, Operations Planning. The Commodity Execution Buyer drives procurement activities through the usage of professional sourcing (RFQs for price lists) and purchasing practices and techniques in order to ensure parts/services/goods availability (PR / IGS) while optimizing overall cost and inventory at the lowest level and highest quality. The Commodity Execution Buyer is responsible for Contract Management, while RCM remains A for Contract Management throughout the complete Project Execution Phase until the exit of warranty. The Commodity Execution Buyer becomes Accountable/Responsible for Change Management throughout the Project Execution Phase, in close cooperation with the PPM & RCM and in line with the Directive “Contract Management in Procurement & Supply Chain” The Commodity Execution Buyer has to maintain intense contact with the assigned dedicated suppliers and monitors them. Responsibilities: Negotiate, create and manage Purchase Orders / Scheduling Agreements Manage Invoices for assigned Suppliers Expediting of deliveries from suppliers Responsible for the NCR Management Contribute to the Charge Back process Contribute to the onboarding and usage of suppliers for the web portal Contribute to the monitoring of supplier performance Set up performance Reviews with supplier on a regular basis, Explore continuous material and inventory cost reduction opportunities Assure Material availability on time and on required quality Qualifications At least 4-5 years of solid experience as a BUYER or PURCHASER, or worked as Expeditor Negotiation with suppliers is a requirement Material Planning experience is an added advantage Experience in data measurement/analysis and reporting is an advantage Exposure to process improvement projects/change management/transitioning project an advantage Working in SAP/equivalent environment is an added advantage Must be willing to work in the Second Shift About Bombardier Transportation Bombardier Transportation is a global mobility solution provider leading the way with the rail industry’s broadest portfolio.
