Job Description The Customer Development Specialist is responsible for the recruitment, development and growth of loyal customer base of the Pilmico distributor, through active market mapping, and saturation of target end-users and sub-dealers in their assigned territory. The chosen candidate for this role will maintain the best possible working relationship with the customers and generate loyal patronage to Pilmico products and its distributor and will also responsible for the collection of payments from these customers ensuring that accounts do not go beyond the credit terms and established credit limits. Job Summary Sales Booking and Coordination Ensures regular booking of accounts in the assigned territory, must maintain the proper documentation and coordination in sales, and timely collection and AR monitoring of assigned accounts Market Research and Data Gathering Advises sub-dealers, and end-user clients concerning current sales and promotional activities Ensures regular market mapping to continuously assess territory market potential Effectively monitor and assess competitor activities to help the distributor formulate competitive sales plans Recording and Reports Preparation Maintains customer and prospect database Prepares regular monthly area market update Prepares regular weekly price and industry update Provides daily update on competitor activities and market scoping Duties and Responsibilities New Accounts Activation and Development Mapping of sales territory to identify prospects for recruitment Recruiting of new accounts Leads customer presentations and customer accreditation Ensures customer accreditation requirements are met Negotiates terms and conditions with the customers Account Management Manages sales order to cash activities of assigned accounts Maintains close communication with key stakeholders Provide consistent after-sales service Responds to customer complaints, queries and performs sales follow ups using appropriate methods and procedures, to ensure that customers need are being met Business Growth Implement territory sales programs of the distributor Deliver target sales channel growth from new customers and existing businesses Deliver target new direct end-users and linkages to sub-dealers Qualifications Has at least 1 year sales experience in wholesale/retail sales, preferably in flour/bakery ingredients distribution
