JOB ROLES Responsible within Buildings “One Team” structure for the overall GEC multi-disciplinary design delivery on time and to quality required and support the Project Manager on design delivery to agreed budget. Responsible for reviewing current design processes and implementing design delivery across all BU disciplines in compliance with The Company Way and relevant process and workflows Responsible for ensuring design co-ordination and QA/QC within GEC, particularly within BIM environment Contribute positively to breaking down of divisions between ME Regional and GEC teams to foster a “One Team” environment both between ME and GEC technical teams and across GEC disciplines through continuous positive reinforcement of “One Team” approach Work to ensure maximum internal stakeholder satisfaction, championing care and proactively working with internal stakeholders Continuously analyse and report issues relating to quality and design efficiency Report any shortcomings in design methods/software and recommend improvements to DL/BD/ROD KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Oversee an agreed scope of work and the operational workload of a team ensuring work is allocated appropriately and resources are fully utilized Eliminating abortive work Safety In Design; Promote and role Organizationel Company Health and Safety Principles during the planning and delivery of work Perform role in accordance with the Company behavioural framework Manage and take accountability for the performance and behaviours of more junior staff Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Company, and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal credibility in the company Develop, present and gain agreement for design options and opportunities to maximize the profitability of design components and drive the implementation of these Provide technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development Ensure effective resource utilisation and management controls are in place and deployed to enable monitoring, Organizationification and forecasting of Company GEC tasks as appropriate Manage the performance of team members identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues Communicate with team members to ensure that they understand, and become engaged with, the project strategy, brief and requirements Comply with Company General Business Principles and Specific AntiCorruption Standards Understand and comply with the Code of Conduct operated by relevant professional institutions Engage with activities promoted by professional institutions Exercise responsibilities in an ethical manner Discuss ideas and plan competently and with confidence Manage diversity issues Capable of exercising sound holistic independent judgement to influence design oCompanyomes Work alongside team leadership Promote the culture of the business KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Significant experience across a broad range of Buildings projects in a multi-disciplinary environment in a design management / project management role Demonstrate expertise in one or more key disciplines Communicate well with others at all levels including effective use of English orally and in writing Effective personal and social skills Demonstrate appropriate professional standards, recognizing obligations to society, the profession and the environment Able to lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery and in their professional development Qualifications KEY QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor Degree in Engineering (BSc / BEng or MSc / Meng) or equivalent in a relevant discipline Possess 15 years of relevant professional experience. Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
