About the opportunity The person in this position will be the Program Manager’s representative assigned to manage the planning, design, and construction of the project work for the land development work at the New Manila International Instituteport in Bulacan. Channel dredging for access to the proposed Instituteport site Dredging, transporting, and placing sand material to create a platform for the Instituteport construction Land development methods to accelerate soft clay consolidation Vibro compaction of the fill materials Settlement monitoring River widening Construction of a system of revetments walls around the Instituteport site. Serve as the primary conduit for communications between the Land Development project teams Oversee management of project schedules, costs, risks, quality, safety, and coordination. Responsible for tracking project progress against Key Performance Indicators. Oversee project interfaces within the Land Development Package projects and manage interfaces with other Packages. Coordinate technical support with the Program Manager’s Technical Services Manager for design reviews and subject matter expert resources. Participate in the following project meetings; value engineering sessions; problem resolution discussions; design reviews; spot construction inspections; presentations; periodic checks of project documentation Development of the monthly executive summary for the Land Development Package; contract and claims negotiations; public outreach events; and other activities as assigned. Coordinate Land Development design and construction work with the Senior Project Managers from the Terminal, Instituteside, and Landside packages. Provide technical expertise on a wide range of dredging and land development related issues About you Previous project management experience on large, complex land reclamation or land development projects. Strong communications, both verbal and written. Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management position within a large organization. Problem solver experienced with clearly identifying problems, evaluating alternative solutions, assessing risks, and making sound recommendations to decision makers. Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse project team with demanding schedule, budgetary, safety, quality, and coordination objectives. Successful experience coordinating project requirements with numerous stakeholders, regulatory agencies, design teams, program manager, site supervision consultants, and client representatives is required. Previous experience managing/administering EPC contracts with tight schedules. Ability to set priorities that support the client’s project objectives. Experience working as a key member of an integrated project team comprised of employees from the client and program/project manager. Demonstrated ability to evaluate information, identify problem trends, and develop and implement action plans to improve overall project performance. Minimum of 15 years of project or program management experience on large maritime projects. Three years of this experience must include land reclamation or land development in areas with soft clay materials. Experience with vibro compaction and revetment wall construction is desired. Project experience must include management responsibility on at least 5 projects each having a minimum value of $50 million USD, or 3 projects each having a minimum value of $100 million USD. Four-year college degree or advanced degree in engineering or project/construction management.
