Position Summary The Solution Expert or Local Product Expert (LPE) is responsible for assisting Customer Relations activities dealing directly with SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign end users (especially presales) and enabling the partner channel through coaching, classroom training, assisted implementation and other forms of knowledge transfer. In addition the LPE will be involved in the ramp-up and rollout of new versions to the partner channel and will assist and support the partner during development of solutions and the implementation process. Finally, he or she will be driving the adaption of new initiatives by the channel. The position will require travel (up to 50%) to assist the partners onsite, both in the Philippines as well as – to a lesser extent – in APJ. Key Roles & Responsibilities Sales Support Align with Channel Sales Manager on country channel strategy and prioritize engagements accordingly Participate in sales and pre-sale activities and the development of vertical solutions and workarounds. Acts as a sales advisory service for the Channel Manager and partners Assist in any marketing or demand generation programs Participate in SAP or partners event in an effort to promote SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign Enablement Primary SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign contact for the partners in the development and education of the partner channel. This includes providing continuous education on product functionality and supporting infrastructure to new partners and as well as adapting and running regional training programs for existing partners. Take responsibility for continuous review and improvement of programs, classroom training and documentation as well as best practices guidelines for successful implementations for the channel Drive adoption of Intelligent Enterprise technologies and business models Enable partner for SAP support tools (Remote Support Platform), logging SAP message, and escalations Escalations and Issue Management Manage product issues and customer-facing issues and coordinate with partner and other resources as needed to address customer concerns. Such activities may include: escalations (partner, product, add-on, etc.), transitioning customers to other partners, assisting partners with customer related issues Leverage technical support, critical solution desk, his/her management structure and other support functions within the global delivery team to resolve escalations Product Management Participate in specification, localization, acceptance testing and validation during the rollout of new releases Participate in the management Ramp-Up program locally, find and convince partners and customers to participating. Stay in contact with partners and customers during RU for status update and feedback. Provide extra support to partners and customers during Ramp-Up. Align with global Ramp-Up team and provide information about local progress of projects. Identify legal and functional needs of the local market, describe these and roll them in to SAP Business One and SAP Business ByDesign. Update partners on status; develop short term work around, etc Involved in the translation and localization of the training and product materials New Initiatives Understand value proposition, drivers, and context of new initiatives to be introduced to channel Develop locally applicable approach for implementing effective measures and meeting pre-defined adoption targets Skills & Competencies Result oriented. Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in social media and other channels to raise awareness Good Team player able to collaborate effectively with country Channel Sale Manager and team members in other countries Able to work independently & under pressure. Native or fluent in English and at least another language spoken in APJ Attributes Professionalism.
