Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood
  • Participate in communities of practices to support and establish Standards
  • Contribution to providing Story Point estimates that include the scope of testing
  • Design, build and maintain scalable solutions for internal and external services
  • Practice Test-Driven Development with regular participation in code reviews and design reviews
  • Lead others in Test Driven Development including test suite maintenance
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to peers and stakeholders
  • Improve the reliability, monitoring, and operations of our services
  • Identify opportunities to improve our development process and system efficiency
  • Refine Engineering practices, standards, and tooling


Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of Software Development experience
  • Development skills with Java, T-SQL, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Experience using Hibernate and Springboot
  • Ability to effectively relate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and articulate the business value of a given technical solution
  • Experience with Relational Databases, such as SQL Server and MySQL
  • Hands on coding
  • Can supervise and mentor Jr. engineers
  • Experience working in an Agile engineering environment and following Agile practices
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools & practices
  • Familiarity or experience with working in a DevOps culture
  • Experience building highly scalable and high-performance services
  • Knowledge of different software design patterns
  • Experience and/or enthusiasm to mentor learned skills
  • Willing to work on graveyard shift
