POSITION OVERVIEW

The Strategic Sourcing Lead is responsible for managing a specific category of material or services by providing short and long range sourcing strategies. He manages the price and total cost of ownership of materials, supplies and services that needs to be purchased. He identifies procurement opportunities and risks, analyze spend patterns and develop long term relationship with suppliers in order to drive fact-based cross-functional decision making in the specific category.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing the individual strategy plan in support to the team, division and company goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and works with Procurement-Operations & Shared Services’ category managers on execution of and compliance to short and long term contracts.
  • Spend data management
    • Classify, aggregate, leverage spend for managing total cost of ownership
    • Enhance spend data with complimentary procurement information like existing contract, alternatives, supplier performance.
  • Category Management
    • Item profiling
    • Classify and group items based on profile and supply market
    • Review category spend to identify opportunities on price, specification, service or process.
    • Develop and execute strategic sourcing programs.
    • Monitor and measure the programs
    • Continues cycle improvement
  • Early involvement in New Product Development and Manufacturing Projects to provide information

  • Monitor and report the individual performance ensuring key performance indicators (KPI’s) attainment
  • Coordinate with regional procurement personnel on leverage common items
  • Coordinates with Data Cost to provide the Price Bulletin
  • Accomplish mid-year and annual personnel performance appraisal
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 QMS
  • Ensures adherence to CMS, ERMG and Corporate Procurement’s policy and reports requirements.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a college graduate of any 4-year course, preferably with MBA units.
  • Must have strong mathematical, analytical, strategic and reasoning skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal clients, peers, senior managers and external suppliers.
  • Must have strong leadership qualities and able to manage, coordinate and facilitate the team to ensure efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness.
  • Must possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Must be proactive, honest, and trustworthy.
  • Must be hardworking, patient and organized.
  • Must be computer literate with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Must have at least 5 years work experience in procurement.
  • Ability to speak other languages aside from English and Filipino would be an advantage.
