Responsible for all tax matters in the Philippines both direct and indirect taxes, compliance and planning, tax accounting, and controversy in coordination with Global Tax Manages and ensures company’s use and compliance with tax incentives with Philippines (PEZA) Oversight and compliance with PEZA regulations Manages tax audits and controversies Ensure compliance of tax reporting requirements set forth by government agencies in the Philippines Leads major tax-relevant projects/initiatives Assist the Global Tax Group in the preparation and completion of US tax reporting requirements under ASC 740 of US GAAP Managing all transfer pricing matters for the Philippines and coordinating with Global Tax; Assisting with planning and effecting tax strategies for the Philippines Provide assistance and tax expertise for internal company clients on tax-related queries Depending on the candidate – potential for expanded role in other Asia Pacific regional matters Education: College Degree – emphasis in taxation and accounting Experience Target: At least 7 years of related experience with Big Four or large multinational organizations. Preferably a combination of both. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Expertise in local tax laws Ability to work with cross-functional teams, Accounting, Treasury, Legal as well as Commercial teams to accomplish company goals Decision making Spreadsheet skills Analytical skills Report writing Travel Required: 40% local travel to meet with government agencies Occasional international travel
